The Connected Mine Platform
One platform for mine production data, from pit to port. Connected Mine joins the systems on your site into a single validated data model, so plan vs actual is the same number for everyone.
25+
years building mining data systems
70+
mine sites using us globally
50+
mining system integrations
Tier 1
used by some of the world’s biggest miners
Fleet management, drill and blast, survey, mine planning, SCADA, plant historians, weighbridges and ERP. Connected Mine collects from each source automatically, whatever the vendor.
Delay codes, material classes, tonnage factors and shift definitions are agreed once and applied everywhere. The result is one validated, auditable mining data model.
Use Connected Mine dashboards and 4D spatial views, or take the validated data into Microsoft Fabric, Power BI or Databricks with FactStream and StarStream. The numbers are the same either way.
Every module shares the same Connected Mine data model and business rules.
Need near real-time visibility on top? See our operational mining dashboards, or STIC short interval control to fix problems during the shift.
Each module covers one part of the operation, and every module shares the same data model and business rules.
FactStream and StarStream run on top of Connected Mine. They take its validated mining data into Microsoft Fabric, Power BI and Databricks, ready for corporate reporting, AI and machine learning.
FactStream
FactStream rebuilds 350 standard mining metrics every 10 minutes, with one set of business rules at every site, so the data feeding your cloud platform, dashboards and AI models is never stale. There’s no waiting for an overnight batch.
StarStream
StarStream delivers Connected Mine’s validated data as an out-of-the-box star schema. Your data and BI teams build reports and models on a governed foundation from day one, instead of modelling mining data from scratch.
Every stage reports from the same validated data, so the numbers reconcile from the first blast to the last shipment.
Connected Mine runs as a secure web application tailored to your site architecture: on-premise, in the cloud, or hybrid. It scales from a single operation to multi-site enterprise reporting.
Because the business rules live in the platform, not in individual reports, adding a new dashboard or site doesn’t mean rebuilding the logic.
Colowyo Coal Co. in Colorado, USA, needed to consolidate data from three onboard systems and other sources between the mine and its rail load-out, including older Cat Oracle instances. After a market appraisal, they chose Connected Mine for its proven integration and accurate material tracking.
What is the Connected Mine platform?
Connected Mine is a mining production data platform from Information Alignment. It connects the systems on a mine site, applies one set of business rules, and reports validated production data from pit to port. It is used at more than 70 mine sites.
Which modules make up Connected Mine?
Connected Mine has four modules: Connected Mine Performance (C-MP), Connected Process Performance (C-PP), Connected Data Analysis Services (C-DAS) and Connected Spatial Intelligence (C-SI).
Does Connected Mine replace Power BI?
No. Connected Mine provides the validated mining data model underneath. You can report in Connected Mine’s own dashboards, or use StarStream, an out-of-the-box star schema, to connect Microsoft Power BI, Microsoft Fabric or Databricks to the same data.
How is Connected Mine deployed?
Connected Mine is deployed as a secure web application tailored to your site architecture, on-premise, in the cloud or hybrid.
Who makes Connected Mine?
Connected Mine is developed by Information Alignment Pty Ltd (INAPL), based in Perth, Western Australia. Information Alignment has built mining data systems since 2001.
